Art and Design thrives on practical, hands-on teaching, yet many non-specialist teachers have had limited opportunities to develop the subject knowledge and confidence they need. My face-to-face CPD is designed to close that gap, giving staff the chance to explore materials, tools, and processes for themselves through expert guidance, practical demonstration, and professional discussion. The result is training that builds confidence quickly and translates directly into stronger classroom practice.
With more than 25 years of experience in primary education, teaching every year group from Reception to Year 6, as well as teaching Art at Key Stage 3, I bring proven classroom expertise and a deep understanding of what effective Art and Design teaching looks like in practice. Every session is grounded in real school experience, making the training relevant, credible, and immediately useful.
